A one-day NSS camp and Road Safety Day was observed at Government Senior Secondary School at Jamanabad in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday (January 9, 2025) and it saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff members.
Under the guidance of NSS in-charge Surjeet Singh and students’ in-charge Chandra Rekha, students undertook extensive cleanliness activities. They tidied flower beds, cleaned the school premises and ensured the campus was clean.
Simultaneously, a Road Safety Day programme was held, led by road safety in-charge Trilok Singh. Students organised a road safety rally, educating the public on traffic rules and their importance.
The rally began from the school premises, passed through Kotkawala village, and concluded at Abdulapur Jahanabad main junction. Participants displayed slogans emphasising traffic safety and demonstrated rule adherence on the roads.
School Principal Ekta Gautam addressed the students, highlighting the significance of traffic regulations. The event saw active involvement from all teachers. The programme concluded with refreshments provided to the students.
