The Physics Department of Government Arya Degree College, Nurpur, recently organized a poster making competition to mark National Science Day 2026. A total of 16 students from B.Sc. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year participated, showcasing their creativity and scientific knowledge.
The theme of the competition was “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat”. Posters were judged on creativity, relevance, and presentation. The judging panel, comprising Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Associate Professor) and Ms. Reema Kumari (Assistant Professor), praised the students’ innovative ideas and artistic skills.

- 2nd Position: Kanishka (23PCH010)
- 3rd Position: Kavya Kaushal (23PHY002)
The winners were awarded certificates, and their posters are now displayed in the Physics Laboratory.
The event also featured student speeches highlighting the significance of National Science Day. Dr. Anil Thakur, Principal of the college, graced the occasion and appreciated the students’ dedication and hard work. The competition was successfully organized by Ms. Shashi Bala (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Kumai Seema (Assistant Professor).
Around 50 students attended the event, making it a vibrant celebration of science, creativity, and the role of women in shaping a progressive India.
