The Atal Smriti Sammelan held at Lions Club Dharamshala today became a powerful display of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ideological commitment and organizational unity, as leaders and workers gathered to pay tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The event was marked by emotional recollections of Vajpayee’s vision for nation-building, governance, and democratic values. Former Speaker and MLA Vipin Singh Parmar and former Minister and MLA Sudhir Sharma addressed hundreds of BJP workers, highlighting Vajpayee’s enduring influence on Indian politics.

Parmar described Vajpayee not merely as a Prime Minister but as “an ideology” who connected politics with dignity, dialogue, and development. He urged party workers to carry Vajpayee’s principles to the masses, calling it the truest tribute to his legacy.

Sharma emphasized Vajpayee’s unwavering prioritization of national interest even in challenging circumstances. He noted that in an era dominated by opportunism, Vajpayee’s life remains a shining example of honesty and patriotism. He asserted that the BJP is the true inheritor of Vajpayee’s ideology.

District Kangra BJP President Sachin Sharma said the Sammelan had infused new energy into the organization. He thanked party leaders and workers for their participation, stressing that Vajpayee’s thoughts continue to inspire the BJP’s journey forward.

The conference witnessed the presence of several senior leaders and office bearers, including State BJP spokesperson Rakesh Sharma, State BJP media co-incharge Advocate Vishwachakshu, District BJP General Secretary Devendra Kohli, Dharamshala BJP Mandal President Dr. Vishal Nehria, former MLA Vishal Nehria, Deputy Mayor Tejinder Kaur, and many others.

Throughout the gathering, the sentiment “Atal hai to vishwas hai” (“Where there is Atal, there is trust”) resonated strongly, reflecting the deep respect and faith the party continues to place in Vajpayee’s legacy.
