Dharamshala: Under the Sveep program aimed at voter awareness, a dialogue was initiated with students at Avasthi College of Education regarding voting participation.
The voter awareness campaign, organized in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha by-elections in the Dharamshala constituency, was held at Avasthi College of Education in Dadhi. The event saw participation from B.Ed trainees, faculty members, and was chaired by SDM Dharamshala, Sanjeev Kumar Bhot.
Notable attendees included Amit Bharadwaj, director of Health College of Education, Arpit Dheeman, election officer, and principal Sumit Chauhan. They appealed to student trainees to vote and encouraged everyone to engage in the campaign.
The Sveep team, comprising nodal officers and doctors, urged to increase voter turnout. Participants pledged to responsibly exercise their voting rights and were provided detailed information on the electoral process.
They were also instructed to verify their names on the voter list through the voter help line app and fill Form 6 if necessary. Additionally, they vowed to spread awareness among their communities for maximum voter participation. A voter awareness rally was scheduled for later.
