Mandi: Anmol, a 30-year-old resident of Chukku Tanda village in the Pounta gram panchayat of Sarkaghat tehsil in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, has successfully cleared the examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Anmol secured the 438th rank nationwide. His father, Krishna Chand, recently retired from the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service. He served last as RTO, Mandi. Anmol’s mother, Usha Baldwara, is a dedicated member of the district council representing her ward. Usha expressed immense joy, stating that Anmol’s accomplishment has filled their entire family with happiness.
Anmol’s younger brother is also preparing for the UPSC exam. Anmol had previously attempted the UPSC exam without success. However, by clearing the UPSC exam this time, he has not only brought pride to his family and region but has also earned accolades for the entire state on a national level. Anmol holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from NIT Hamirpur and pursued his M.Tech from IIT Delhi.
Anmol had secured the top position in the examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. Currently, Anmol is posted as a block development officer (BDO) in Tootoo, Shimla district. His study routine of over 10 hours daily has been instrumental in achieving this position.
