Despite the presence of other prominent contenders, the party’s decision has brought Dr. Bhardwaj, a Brahmin and practicing doctor specializing in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery, into the spotlight.

Dr. Bhardwaj’s political journey traces back to 1989 when he joined the BJP. Over the decades, he has diligently served the party in various capacities, from being a Booth Adhyaksh of Yuva Morcha to holding significant positions such as District President, State Secretary, and Vice President.
Current Roles and Responsibilities: Presently, Dr. Bhardwaj serves as the State Vice President of the BJP, marking his third term in this role. Additionally, he holds the crucial position of co-in charge for the Kangra parliamentary constituency, demonstrating his importance within the party’s hierarchy.
