Two killed, two injured as car falls into gorge in Bharmour

Two persons were killed while two others sustained serious injuries when the car they were travelling in veered off the road and fell into a gorge late Sunday (March 10, 2024) night near Darati bridge in Bharmour.
According to information, the four persons were returning home from Hadsar towards Balumui when the car driver lost control over it, leading to the accident. The local residents and the police swung into action and shifted the car occupants to Bharmour hospital.
Those killed were identified as Rakesh Kumar and Ashwani Kumar, both residents of Hadsar in Bharmour, while Anil from Seri (Bharmour) and Ashwani Kumar of Hadsar have been undergoing treatment at hospital. Rakesh and Ashwani were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
While Anil was referred to Tanda Medical College and Hospital for further treatment, Ashwani is currently receiving medical care at the Civil Hospital in Bharmour.
SP Abhishek Yadav confirmed the accident saying inquest proceedings had been launched by the Bharmour police.
