Five vehicles were buried under an avalanche at Nehru Kund on the Manali-Solang Nullah road in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday afternoon (March 2, 2024).
No casualties have been reported yet, though the vehicles that were parked on the roadside when the avalanche suddenly occurred were damaged. The local administration promptly responded to the situation and efforts are underway to extricate the vehicles with the assistance of local residents.
In the past 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh has experienced continuous rain and snowfall, resulting in a significant accumulation of snow on the mountains. This led to an avalanche, burying five vehicles. However, there have been no reports of any loss of life thus far.
