In a major breakthrough under its ongoing Anti-Chitta Campaign, the Nurpur Police has secured confirmation from the Competent Authority and Administrator under the SAFEM (FOP)A and NDPS Act, New Delhi, for the freezing of properties worth more than ₹1.01 crore allegedly linked to proceeds from drug trafficking.

The action follows a detailed financial investigation conducted by Indora Police Station in connection with an NDPS case registered in 2017. The probe led to the identification of assets suspected to have been acquired through illegal drug trade activities.

According to police officials, Dalviro was convicted by a court on April 1, 2025, in a heroin trafficking case after 6.50 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession. She was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined ₹1 lakh.

Based on the findings of the financial investigation, a freezing order was issued by Indora Police on September 28, 2026. Following scrutiny of records and evidence, the Competent Authority in New Delhi confirmed the order on October 26, 2026.

Properties Frozen

The confirmed freezing order covers three assets with a combined value of ₹1,01,55,718:

  • A residential property belonging to Dalviro, located in Channi village, Indora, valued at ₹61.96 lakh.
  • A residential structure along with furniture, household appliances, and other assets belonging to Mithun alias Chhapar, valued at ₹32.60 lakh.
  • A Maruti Suzuki car (HP38E-0464) belonging to Gharo Devi, valued at ₹6.98 lakh.

Police said the action has been taken under Section 68F(2) of Chapter V-A of the NDPS Act, restricting the transfer, sale, or disposal of these assets and paving the way for further legal proceedings.

₹31.71 Crore Worth Assets Frozen So Far

Nurpur Police stated that its anti-drug strategy goes beyond the seizure of narcotics and arrest of traffickers. The department is actively tracing and targeting the financial assets generated through illicit drug trade to dismantle the economic backbone of narcotics networks.

Officials revealed that properties worth ₹31.71 crore linked to drug traffickers have been frozen in Police District Nurpur so far after receiving confirmation from the competent authority.

The police have appealed to the public to share information related to drug trafficking and illegal narcotics activities to help strengthen the fight against the drug menace.
