The indefinite hunger strike led by Akhil Bakshi entered its fifth day today, intensifying the atmosphere in Nurpur. After four days of silence, the administration finally reached out to Bakshi — yet his demands remain unresolved, fueling growing public frustration.

Bakshi’s movement has become a symbol of accountable leadership, proving that true representation means standing firmly for people’s issues rather than delivering speeches. His persistence has compelled officials to face the public’s questions head‑on.

Despite the outreach, no concrete solution has emerged. The administration’s delay in addressing such a critical public concern has drawn sharp criticism from citizens, who call the government’s indifference “deeply disappointing.”

Bakshi and his team have now given the authorities 24 hours to act. They warned that if their demands are not met within this timeframe, the protest will escalate into a road blockade (chakka jam) — with full responsibility resting on the administration.

The protesters emphasize that their fight is not for personal gain but for Nurpur’s rights and future. The next 24 hours will decide whether the government listens to the people’s voice or pushes the movement toward a more intense phase.

The ball is now in the administration’s court — resolution or escalation, Nurpur awaits the decision.
