Government Arya College, Nurpur, hosted an awareness lecture on “Drug-Free India” under the joint aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Anti-Drugs Committee, and Road Safety Committee, in collaboration with the Idea of Bharat Foundation. The program was presided over by Acting Principal Dr. Anjana Gautam.
Foundation President Rahul Sharma addressed the students as the keynote speaker, highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and its impact on health, family, and society. He urged youth to stay away from drugs and channel their energy into education, sports, creative pursuits, and social service.
Students were encouraged to remain vigilant against addiction, show compassion toward those affected, and seek proper help when needed. The lecture saw enthusiastic participation from students and NSS volunteers.
At the conclusion, all participants pledged to contribute to building a drug-free India and to lead healthy, responsible lives. Professors Manjeet, Dr. Anil Kumar, Surjit Singh, and Dr. Bharti were also present.
