In a joint initiative, the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) and Himalya Pariwar organized a one‑day seminar on “Himalaya Conservation Towards Nation Building” at the CUHP campus. The event brought together academia, civil society, and awakened citizens to deliberate on the ecological, cultural, spiritual, and strategic importance of the Himalayas for Bharat’s future.
The program began with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana, setting a tone of positivity and collective resolve.

Highlights
- Book Releases: Two books were launched — one authored by Shri Ashok Beri Ji, and another by Shri Prem Singh Kaith & Ashir Kaith — applauded as contributions to indigenous thought and Himalayan studies.
- Keynote Address: Dr. Indresh Kumar Ji urged youth to act with dedication and resilience, advocating inclusivity and social harmony. He highlighted the Himalayas’ pristine ecology, medicinal wealth, and strategic importance, while recalling icons like Swami Vivekanand Ji, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Ji, Rani Jhansi, and Mahatma Gandhi Ji.
- Governor’s Address: Shri Kavinder Gupta Ji emphasized Himalayan conservation as a matter of national security and cultural identity. He called for scientific conservation through community awareness, citing recent glacier floods in Tibet and Nepal as urgent reminders.
- Academic Perspective: Prof. Bansal Ji stressed that conservation must come from bhav (emotions) and collective responsibility. He outlined CUHP’s outreach initiatives including Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Fit India Movement, Khelo India Movement, and TB Mukt Bharat. He also endorsed the 7‑Point Dharamshala Agenda proposed by Himalya Pariwar Himachal Pradesh.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to protect the Himalayas, leaving participants energized with a renewed sense of responsibility toward environment and nation‑building.
