On the occasion of International Day of Clean Air, Kangra Valley Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala organized an awareness seminar on the theme “Clean Air, Pollution and Health.” The program aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of air pollution and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Scientific Officer Mrs. Satvinder Kaur, Junior Scientific Officer Dr. Ajay Kumar, and Lab Assistant Mr. Pawan Thakur from the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board addressed the gathering. They provided valuable insights into the major causes of air pollution, its impact on human health, and effective measures to reduce pollution.
Students of Classes 10, 11, and 12 participated enthusiastically in the seminar. The speakers encouraged them to take responsibility in preserving clean air and to spread awareness in society about environmental protection.
School Principal Mr. Kapil Walia, along with faculty members, was also present. In his address, the Principal emphasized that clean air is essential not only for our health but also for ensuring a safe and healthy future for generations to come. He urged everyone to play an active role in reducing pollution and safeguarding the environment.
