Euro Kids School, located near Norbulingka, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The school premises were beautifully decorated with tricolour flags, balloons, and streamers, creating a vibrant atmosphere of national pride.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school Principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by students and staff. The entire school echoed with chants of “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram,” reflecting the spirit of unity and love for the nation.
Students from different classes presented patriotic songs, dances, and skits depicting the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the journey of India’s independence. The performances highlighted the values of courage, unity, and selfless service that form the foundation of the nation. The young participants, dressed in traditional and tricolour-themed attire, filled the campus with energy and pride.
In her address, the Principal congratulated the students and staff for their spirited participation and reminded everyone of the importance of remembering the heroes who fought for India’s freedom. She emphasized that Independence Day is not only a celebration of liberty but also a reminder of the responsibility each citizen holds in building a strong and progressive nation.
Teachers also spoke about the significance of the day, encouraging students to uphold the ideals of truth, peace, and harmony. The event concluded with a patriotic pledge taken by all present, reaffirming their commitment to contribute positively to the country’s growth and unity.
After the formal programme, sweets were distributed among the children, adding joy to the occasion. The smiles on the faces of the young students reflected the true essence of Independence Day—hope, pride, and the promise of a brighter future.
