Shimla:The Himachal government on Thursday placed before the High Court the status report in the inquiry held so far in the businessmen Nishant Sharma vs DGP Sanjay Kundu case.
An application was filed by respective advocates of DGP Kundu and Kangra SP Shalini Agnihotri seeking the revoking of their transfer orders by the HC.
Kangra SP Agnihotri and Shimla SP Sanjeev Gandhi were present in the court during the hearing on Thursday.
Businessman Sharma would appear before the court on Friday for the hearing in his case against DGP Kundu and others.
The High Court, on December 26, had directed that DGP Kundu and SP Agnihotri should be removed from their respective postings in response to the plea of businessman Sharma.
Sharma had expressed his dissatisfaction with the police inquiry into his complaint against DGP Kundu and had sought the removal of the DGP and Kangra SP to facilitate an unbiased inquiry.
The government had complied with the HC order only in the case of DGP Kundu, who was posted as principal secretary, Ayush department, but till Thursday Kangra SP was not transferred.
Meanwhile, DGP Kundu had approached the Supreme Court in the matter. The apex court while staying the HC order on Kundu’s transfer directed that the recall application filed by him should be dealt with within two weeks.
The matter is scheduled for a hearing on Friday.
