On the Bairagarh–Sach Pass–Killar road near Bagotu in Churah subdivision of Chamba district, panic struck when a truck lost control and veered dangerously off the road. The vehicle, traveling from Tissa towards Killar, nearly plunged into a deep gorge at a sharp bend.
Eyewitnesses reported that the front portion of the truck was left hanging over an 800‑meter deep valley. Thanks to the driver’s alertness and quick judgment, he managed to regain control and prevent a major tragedy. Fortunately, the driver escaped without injuries.
After hours of effort, the truck was safely pulled back with the help of a JCB machine, bringing relief to locals and travelers on this treacherous mountain route.
