According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a Red Alert has been issued for Chamba district on July 20 and 21.
The District Disaster Management Authority, Chamba, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Bharmaur, Vikas Sharma, has urged the public to stay away from rivers, streams, mountain slopes, and landslide-prone areas. Special advisory has been issued for Manimahesh pilgrims, requesting them to avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
Residents are also advised to take extra care of children and the elderly, and ensure that livestock are moved to safe locations.
