To encourage rainwater conservation during the monsoon season, the Municipal Council Chamba organized an awareness program under the nationwide ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign.
Officials and staff reached out to residents across the town, spreading the message: “This monsoon, let’s join the ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign and pledge to conserve water… because water is life, and life depends on water.”
During the program, posters carrying water conservation messages were displayed, and citizens were urged to adopt rainwater harvesting systems at homes, institutions, and public places. Authorities emphasized that with rapidly depleting groundwater levels and growing water scarcity, rainwater conservation has become the need of the hour.
The Municipal Council appealed to people to value every drop of water and actively participate in making the ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign a mass movement for sustainable water management.
