7.42 Grams of Chitta Seized in Major Operation

In a significant action against drug trafficking, the CIA Kangra team carried out a raid in Gaggal police station jurisdiction on July 6, 2026, leading to the arrest of three youths with 7.42 grams of chitta (heroin).
Based on the written report of Sub-Inspector Duni Chand, I/O CIA Kangra, FIR No. 66/26 dated 06/07/2026 has been registered at Police Station Gaggal under Sections 21, 25, 29-61-85 of the NDPS Act. During the operation, police recovered 7.42 grams of heroin from the accused.
Arrested Accused:
- Ajay Kumar (29), son of Angad Kumar, resident of Village & Post Office Pasu, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
- Deepak (22), son of Dinesh Kumar, resident of Village Kaned, Ward No. 5, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
- Vishal (22), son of Harnam Singh, resident of Village Kaned, Ward No. 5, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
The investigation is being carried forward by SI Vidya Sagar. Station House Officer Udham Singh Rajput of Gaggal Police Station stated that the campaign against drug traffickers will continue with full force. He urged the public to immediately inform police about any suspicious activities, emphasizing that drug peddlers will not be spared under any circumstances.
