Successful Bomb Threat Mock Drill Conducted at Kangra Airport

Gaggal (Kangra), June 27: A bomb threat mock drill was successfully organized at Kangra Airport under the directions of the Chief Security Officer and the supervision of Airport Director Shri Amit Saklani. The exercise was led by Chief Aviation Security Officer and Police Inspector Shri Praveen Kumar.

The drill saw active participation from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Airport Police Security Unit (APSU), Bomb Disposal Squad, and other stakeholders. The Bomb Disposal Squad demonstrated standard procedures including inspection of suspicious objects, securing the area, and neutralizing potential threats using specialized equipment.

The objective of the exercise was to test preparedness, coordination, rapid response capability, and effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the event of a bomb threat. All agencies carried out their responsibilities in close coordination, ensuring the drill was completed smoothly and peacefully.

Officials emphasized that such regular mock drills are essential to strengthen security arrangements and guarantee swift, effective action during any emergency.
