The election process for the posts of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Bharmaur Panchayat Samiti concluded on Monday, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing victory in both key positions. BDC member from Sānh Sanyūr Panchayat, Mrs. Pooja Devi, was elected Chairperson, while BDC member from Garola‑Ulansa Panchayat, Mr. Jai Shankar, was chosen as Vice Chairperson.
The BJP’s success sparked enthusiasm among party workers and supporters. Bharmaur‑Pangi MLA and renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Janak Raj was present at the occasion, accompanied by several BJP leaders, workers, and supporters.
Celebrations erupted in Bharmaur market, where jubilant BJP workers organized a victory rally that proceeded through the main bazaar and culminated at the historic Chaurasi Temple complex. At the temple, party members offered prayers for the prosperity of the region before continuing festivities across the area.
Party leaders hailed the victory as a testament to the BJP’s organizational strength, the dedication of its workers, and the trust of the people. They emphasized that development initiatives in the region would gain further momentum under the Panchayat Samiti’s leadership.
