Even before the official counting began, chants of victory for Pradhan candidate Angrez Kapoor echoed across Poolan Panchayat. Supporters celebrated right after polling ended, confidently predicting a one‑sided win.
Their confidence proved right during the counting process, as Kapoor secured a decisive victory with 590 votes, defeating his rival by a margin of 236 votes.
The Kapoor family already enjoys a strong presence in Panchayat politics — his wife, Anita Kapoor, previously served as Pradhan of Poolan Panchayat. With this win, the family has now marked its second consecutive term in leadership.
Angrez Kapoor himself holds a prominent political identity in the region, currently serving as President of BJP Mandal 84. His supporters view this victory not only as a personal achievement but also as a reflection of public trust in the BJP organization and grassroots leadership.
Celebrations broke out among villagers and supporters, with social media flooded by congratulatory messages. The win has reinforced Kapoor’s standing as a key local leader and strengthened his family’s legacy in Panchayat politics.
