Himalyan Public Senior Secondary School ushered in the new academic session with a grand welcome party themed ‘Aaghaz’. The campus brimmed with joy, energy, and excitement as teachers, senior students, and school leaders extended a warm embrace to the newcomers.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana led by Director Mr. Anurag Gupta, Principal Mrs. Sapna Dogra, Vice Principal Mrs. Reema, and faculty members. Senior students applied the traditional tilak to greet the freshers, inspiring them to move forward with confidence and dedication.
🎶 The cultural lineup featured soulful songs, vibrant garba dance, and lively performances on popular tracks like “Makna” and “Kar Har Maidan Fateh”. Students of Classes XI and XII showcased their talent through music, dance, and thematic acts, while fun games and activities added to the festive spirit.
🍴 A shared lunch brought together teachers and students, strengthening the bond of community. The highlight of the day was the Mr. & Miss Fresher Contest, judged by Mrs. Vani Jamwal and Mrs. Jyoti Malhotra. Akshara was crowned Miss Fresher and Armaan Mr. Fresher, recognized for their confidence, creativity, and intellect.
In his closing address, Director Mr. Gupta emphasized that the school is not merely a center of learning but a platform for holistic growth. He encouraged students to embrace discipline, hard work, and positivity as guiding principles.
The ‘Aaghaz’ celebration left the new students with a deep sense of belonging and enthusiasm, marking a promising start to their journey at Himalyan Public School.
