Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (Panchayat) Mukesh Repswal informed that under the Panchayati Raj General Elections–2026, all polling parties have reached their designated locations for the first phase of voting, and polling stations have been set up.
He stated that polling will begin at 7:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. Through sector officers, all Returning Officers are ensuring that election-related formalities are completed in a timely and orderly manner.
The DC further explained that in Bharmaur and Pangi subdivisions, the polling process will be conducted in two phases, while in other subdivisions and development blocks of the district, voting will be completed in three phases.
- First Phase: 118 Gram Panchayats, 676 wards
- Second Phase: 115 Gram Panchayats, 650 wards
- Third Phase: 86 Gram Panchayats, 650 wards
He appealed to all voters to participate enthusiastically in this festival of democracy and cast their votes on May 26, May 28, and May 30, thereby fulfilling their democratic responsibility.
