To ensure that the upcoming Panchayat elections are conducted in a peaceful, free, fair, and transparent manner, strict security arrangements have been put in place by Police District Nurpur.
Today, special briefing sessions were organized at Indora and Fatehpur police stations for personnel assigned to election duty. During the briefing, security forces were sensitized and instructed on key responsibilities:
- Polling Booth Security: Maintaining strict security at all polling stations so voters can exercise their franchise without fear or influence.
- Ballot Box Safety: Ensuring ballot boxes remain in safe custody after polling and are securely transported to the strong room.
- Election Protocol Compliance: Strict adherence to all Election Commission guidelines, the Model Code of Conduct, and legal procedures.
- Law and Order: Preserving peace during and after polling, and dealing firmly with any disturbances or unruly elements.
Following the briefing, all police officers and personnel were dispatched along with polling parties to election centers across the four development blocks of Nurpur district.
