The first edition of MTB Chamba 2026, organised by the Chamba Cycling Association and supported by Himachal Tourism under the “Chalo Chamba” initiative, concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in promoting adventure tourism in the region.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from riders representing 10 states and 16 cities, highlighting the growing popularity of mountain biking across the country.
The race began from the iconic Millennium Gate, taking riders on a challenging and scenic route across 65 kilometers with an elevation gain of approximately 2000 meters. The course tested endurance, skill, and determination as participants navigated rugged mountain trails passing through Badram, Deolihatti, Sungal, Sangera, Sarhan, Ran, Panela, Baath, Badidera and Panchpandav, offering a true cross-country mountain biking experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Chanderkant, President, Chamba Cycling Association, said:
“MTB Chamba 2026 is not just a race, but a celebration of Chamba’s natural beauty and cultural richness. Our aim is to put Chamba on the national adventure sports map, and the response in this first edition has been बेहद encouraging. We look forward to making this an annual flagship event.”
