During the visit of Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur to Bhramour subdivision on Monday, a delegation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Bhramour Unit met him under the leadership of Anshul Patial, member of the ABVP State Executive Committee.
The delegation submitted a memorandum opposing the proposed merger of the Government Senior Secondary Girls School, Bhramour. They highlighted that the institution was established in 1955 by Mahant Jai Krishan Giri Maharaj to promote girls’ education in the region. The school holds deep religious and cultural significance for the local community, which has immense respect and devotion towards Mahant Jai Krishan Giri Maharaj, also regarded as the “creator of Bhramour.”
The ABVP representatives requested the Education Minister to reconsider the merger proposal and ensure that the school continues to function independently, preserving its legacy and importance for girls’ education in the area.
