Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania today laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Parol–Bhiora link road in Gram Panchayat Gola under the Bhatiyat Assembly constituency. The project, estimated at ₹90 lakh, is expected to accelerate development in the region.
The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents. Addressing the gathering, Speaker Pathania said the road had been a long‑standing demand of the people, and once completed, it would provide safe and convenient connectivity to Parol, Bhiora, and nearby villages. The new road will ease travel and improve access to education, healthcare and emergency services.
He further announced that the Parol–Bhiora road would be extended up to the Motla–Kathla link road. Pathania directed departmental officials to prepare estimates for constructing an iron bridge over the Bhiora rivulet to support the expansion.
Assuring quality and timely completion, the Speaker instructed officials to ensure regular monitoring of the work. Responding to local demands, he also directed the Public Works Department to begin the survey for the Padar–Tala link road at the earliest, emphasizing that a strong road network is vital for the holistic development of the area.
During the programme, Pathania listened to various grievances of the residents, resolving many on the spot and issuing directions to concerned departments for the remaining issues.
The event was attended by a large number of dignitaries and officials, including Chela Krishan Chand (Member, State Forest Corporation), SDM Paras Agrawal, DSP Sher Singh, DFO Rajnish Kumar, Deputy Director Higher Education Vikas Mahajan, BDO Anil Gurada, Executive Engineer Rakesh Thakur, Pankaj Rathour, Narendra Chaudhary, along with officers from various departments and local citizens.
