The capital city, Delhi, is set to host Himotsav from December 16 to 30, featuring glimpses of Himachal Pradesh’s rich culture. The festival will showcase traditional arts, crafts, and delectable cuisine, providing a platform for artisans and self-help groups from different corners of the state. Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan announced the event, highlighting a special Himachali fashion show to promote traditional attire on a national stage.
Chauhan expressed gratitude for the central government’s relief aid of ₹633.73 crores for disaster management. While acknowledging the assistance, he emphasized the need for a special relief package, considering the extensive damage caused by disasters in the state. Regarding security breaches in Parliament and security concerns during the assembly session, Chauhan assured that, as the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, he would ensure thorough security measures to avoid any lapses during the session.
