MANDI: In a significant move aimed at expanding access to quality education in Himachal Pradesh, Crack Academy, formerly known as Crack IAS Academy-Delhi, has announced the launch of its new learning centre in Mandi.

The initiative is part of the academy’s broader mission to bring affordable and top-tier coaching to students in even the remotest parts of the state.

Focus on affordable coaching for govt exams

Speaking to the media, Mayank, a representative from the academy’s head office, emphasised that the centre will provide specialised coaching for a wide range of government job entrance exams.
These include civil services, HAS (Himachal Administrative Services), Army, banking and various school-level competitive examinations.

In a statewide initiative, Crack Academy conducted a scholarship examination on May 20, targeting nearly 5 lakh school students across Himachal.

Students who clear the test will receive 100% scholarships, while others will have access to courses at highly subsidised fees, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder meritorious students from receiving quality coaching.

Local expertise with national standards

The Mandi centre is the brainchild of Dharmendra Rana, a veteran educationist who has been at the forefront of promoting quality education in the region for the past 30 years.

Sharing his vision, Rana said, “We aim to prepare academically talented students for competitive exams through career counseling and the latest technology, especially those whose families cannot afford to send them to metro cities like Delhi for coaching.”

The centre will host faculty with 15 to 20 years of experience, ensuring that students in Mandi get the same level of guidance as those in Delhi. In addition to classroom coaching, students will receive digital access to recorded lectures and courseware via mobile apps and websites, along with high-quality printed study material.

From Devbhoomi to Gyan Bhoomi

Rana further stated, “We want to transform Himachal from just Devbhoomi (land of Gods) to a ‘Gyan Bhoomi’ (land of Knowledge). The journey of progress begins with education and through this initiative, we hope to contribute to the state’s development.”

He also highlighted the academy’s commitment to social responsibility, saying,“Whatever we have earned from society, it’s our duty to give some part of it back. Crack Academy is dedicated to shaping young minds, thereby contributing to the building of a stronger society.”

Classes to begin in July

The Crack Academy Learning Centre in Mandi will begin its first academic session in the first week of July, marking a new chapter in accessible, high-quality education for the youth of Himachal Pradesh.
