The Newz Radar to collaborate as media partner for prestigious Swara Mountain Arts Festival in Dharamshala

Dharamshala: The Newz Radar (TNR), Himachal Pradesh’s leading English digital news network, has been invited to collaborate as a media partner for the prestigious Swara Mountain Arts Festival, an annual celebration of artistic and cultural diversity that will take place from April 8 to April 12, 2025, in Dharamshala.

Organised by the Jagori Rural Charitable Trust in association with One Billion Rising, the festival is an annual celebration of diverse art forms, bringing together artistes from various regions and disciplines of the country.

This year, the festival’s theme is “Rise for the Dancing Mother Earth and the Harmony of the Five Elements”, which celebrates the connection between nature, earth and humanity.

The format will include four days of workshops, followed by Open Gate Evening Celebrations featuring cultural performances, and will culminate with the grand finale event at the Dharamshala Auditorium on April 12th.

Conceptualised by Abha Bhaiya, the founder of Jagori Rural Charitable Trust, Swara Mountain Arts Festival was initiated in 2022 and is a celebration of art, creativity and environmental and humanitarian consciousness.

“The fourth year of the Swara Mountain Arts Festival will rise for the dancing mother earth, restoring the cosmic whisper of all five elements — the fundamental element of all life forces. It’s a fierce calling against war and violence for peace as our collective prayer,” says Abha Bhaiya.

The festival has previously hosted renowned personalities such as Mallika Sarabhai, Aditi Mangaldas, Shabnam Virmani, Navtej Johar, Piyush Mishra, Raj Zutshi, Palash Dholakia and Neeraj Dholakia, among others, who have inspired audiences with their powerful performances and thought-provoking contributions.

One Billion Rising is an international campaign committed to raising awareness and combating violence against women. “Over the years, the festival has organically grown into one of Dharamshala’s most anticipated cultural events, and we are excited to continue its legacy,” says Abha Bhaiya.

Curator Vijaya Rathore expressed enthusiasm for the media partnership, stating, “The support of a reputed media house like The Newz Radar will significantly enhance the festival’s reach. We look forward to this collaboration and the opportunity to showcase the magic of Swara to a broader audience.”

With its commitment to cultural and artistic storytelling, The Newz Radar is set to bring comprehensive coverage of this landmark event, capturing the essence of creativity, activism and the spirit of Dharamshala, says Sunil Chadha, Executive Editor, The Newz Radar.
