Serious Shooting Incident in Behl Village, Naina Devi: 37-Year-Old Man Critically Injure

Mandi: In a shocking incident, a serious shooting took place in Behl village of the Naina Devi Assembly constituency, where 37-year-old Rajesh Kumar, son of Dayal Singh, was shot three times. The attack occurred on Tuesday evening, leaving Rajesh critically injured. Police immediately reached the scene and have launched a thorough investigation.

 

Suspects Identified, One Still at Large

 

Initial reports indicate that four out of the five suspects involved in the attack have been identified, while efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the fifth individual. The injured Rajesh Kumar was first admitted to AIIMS Kothipura, but due to his severe condition, he was later referred to PGI Chandigarh, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

 

Panic Grips Local Resident

 

The incident has sparked fear among the residents of the area. According to locals, the suspects were seen loitering around the school premises in the last couple of days, raising suspicions about their intentions. Despite ongoing investigations, the police have yet to make any arrests. DSP Madan Dhiman confirmed the incident, assuring that the suspects will be apprehended soon.

 

Previous Shooting Incident Still Fresh in Public Memory

 

This is not the first time Bilaspur has witnessed such a violent act. On June 20, a broad daylight shooting occurred near the Shaheed Memorial, involving Puranjan Thakur, son of former Bilaspur MLA Bambar Thakur, as the main accused. In that incident, Saurabh Patial, also known as Fandi, was shot in the right side of his back, leading to a heated political debate in the region.

 

Investigation Continues, Public Urged to Remain Calm

 

The police have intensified their investigation and increased patrols in the area to maintain public safety. Authorities are urging residents to stay calm and cooperate with the ongoing inquiry as efforts to bring the culprits to justice continue.
