A landslide has struck the new route to the Vaishno Devi Temple in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, causing significant disruption. According to TV reports, there have been casualties, with at least two people reported dead, though this information has not been officially confirmed. The incident has also led to injuries and the potential for more people being trapped.

Details of the Landslide
Initial videos from the scene reveal a substantial amount of debris covering the pathway. Authorities reported that the landslide occurred around 2:35 PM near Panchhi, approximately three kilometers from the building. The landslide also damaged a section of the upper iron structure, exacerbating the situation.
Rescue Efforts Underway
Immediately following the landslide, rescue operations were launched. Three injured pilgrims, including a woman, have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The authorities are actively working to clear the debris and rescue any individuals who might still be trapped.
