In a recent announcement, the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has warned that the results of 1,854 candidates who studied Class XII from the State Open School may be cancelled if they fail to submit their eligibility documents within 15 days.

This ultimatum affects candidates whose results, from the examinations conducted between March 2023 and September 2023, have been declared as RLE (result late due to eligibility) due to non-submission of required documents.

Despite repeated reminders and ample time provided by the Board to complete the formalities, a significant number of candidates have not yet submitted the necessary documents. The board has given these candidates one last opportunity to submit their documents to the study centres concerned or directly to the board office by post or hand delivery within the next 15 days. Failure to comply within this timeframe will result in the cancellation of their exam results.

Major Vishal Sharma, Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, emphasised the seriousness of the situation, stating, “The result of 1,854 candidates is pending due to the lack of eligibility documents. Candidates have been given the last chance to submit their documents within 15 days. If the candidates are unable to submit the documents during this time, the result will be canceled as per the rules.”

This measure comes after the board’s extensive efforts to communicate with the affected candidates and provide them with sufficient time to rectify the issue. The Board’s decision aims to maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process.

Candidates are urged to take immediate action to avoid the cancellation of their results and potential setbacks in their academic and professional pursuits. The board has stressed that adherence to the guidelines is crucial and that this final notice should be taken seriously.

The board’s stringent approach underscores its commitment to upholding the standards of education and ensuring that all candidates meet the necessary eligibility criteria. As the 15-day deadline approaches, the affected candidates are advised to promptly submit their documents to secure their results.
