Himachal CM Sukhu meets Union Health Minister Nadda in Delhi, seeks additional funds for Bulk Drug Park

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu called on Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda in New Delhi and demanded additional financial support for the Bulk Drug Park to be set up in Una.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to enhancing the health sector through improved infrastructure and services. He emphasised the need for state-of-the-art medical technology in hospitals to reduce the need for residents to seek advanced medical care outside the state. He also demanded funds for completing the works of Nahan, Chamba and Hamirpur medical colleges.
Chief Minister Sukhu said quality medical education is being imparted to students in the state and urged for supporting the passed-out nursing students of the state to find placements abroad as well.
While seeking additional financial assistance for the Bulk Drug Park, he cited the project’s critical role in the state’s economic development and its potential to generate significant local employment opportunities.
The Union Minister assured of all possible assistance to the state from the Centre. Principal Secretary (Finance) Devesh Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty were present during the meeting.
