Kangana asks those backing CISF ‘slapgate’ cop if they will forgive rape, murder convicts too

CISF kangana slapgate

Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the Chandigarh airport slap incident involving actor Kangana Ranaut and a CISF woman constable, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh has stirred further debate with a provocative tweet.

Just moments after veteran actor Shabana Azmi extended her support to Ranaut, the outspoken celebrity took to social media to challenge those who condoned the incident, questioning whether they are fine with rape and murder too.

“Every rapist, murderer or thief always has a strong emotional, physical, psychological or financial reason to commit a crime. No crime ever happens without a reason, and yet they are convicted and sentenced to jail.

If you are aligned with the criminals strong emotional impulse to commit a crime violating all laws of the land. Remember if you are ok with breaking into someone’s intimate zone, without their permission touching their bodies and assaulting them then deep down, you are ok with rape or murder also because that’s also just penetration or stab only, what big deal…” Ranaut said on X.

She asked people to look deeper into their psychological criminal tendencies. “I suggest please take up yoga and meditation or else life will become a bitter and burdensome experience, don’t carry so much grudge, hate and jealousy please, free yourself,” she told people agitating against her and rallying behind CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur.

Ranaut’s tweet has ignited a fresh wave of discussion on social media, with supporters and critics alike weighing in on the complexities of the situation and the broader implications of her remarks. As the controversy unfolds, it underscores the intersection of celebrity, security, and social commentary in the public sphere.

The tweet comes in the wake of statements by top officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), with Vinay Kajla, the DIG, CISF, Airports (North Sector), describing the incident as an “emotional outburst” for the woman constable. Kajla mentioned that the constable, Kulwinder Kaur, expressed remorse over her actions and her husband, also in the CISF, had been given time to recuperate from the incident. Kulwinder has been suspended and booked under Sections 323 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code.
