A massive phosphate rock deposit discovered in Norway could meet the global demand for solar panels and batteries over the next 100 years, the company controlling the site said. The deposit is estimated to be worth at least 70 billion tonnes, Norge Mining said. Comparatively, phosphate rock reserves worldwide were estimated to be 71 billion tonnes, per USGS in 2021.
