With Valentine’s Day round the corner, the Himachal Pradesh’s tourism industry is set to witness a surge in visitors. To attract couples, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) and private hoteliers have announced exciting offers and discounts.
Popular tourist destinations like Shimla, Manali, Kufri and Narkanda are expected to see a high influx of tourists, especially with snowfall adding to the romantic charm.
Attractive discounts offered by HPTDC
The HPTDC has announced a 20 per cent discount on food and beverages at its hotels, restaurants and cafés for couples celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14. Additionally, guests staying at HPTDC properties will receive a 10 per cent discount on accommodation.
Private hoteliers have also joined the festive celebrations by offering 30-40 per cent discounts on room bookings. Some hotels are providing complimentary candlelight dinners, free sightseeing tours and room flower decorations for couples.
Travel agents are offering free pick-and-drop services along with their Valentine’s packages. “We are offering discounts and candlelight dinners to make the experience special for couples,” said Abhinav Thakur, who is into hotel business.
Popular destinations witness high demand
Valentine’s packages include free flower room decoration and sightseeing tours, attracting a large number of tourists, said Anil Chandel, a Shimla hotelier.
Tourist hotspots like Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Kullu-Manali, Kasauli and Chail are witnessing a rise in bookings. Snow-covered destinations such as Atal Tunnel Rohtang, Narkanda, and Sangla in Kinnaur are also among the top choices for couples seeking a romantic getaway.
