Pragvansh Mehta Tops “Brain of Himachal” Exam, Wins ₹1 Lakh Cash Prize, Goenka School tops Kangra

Shimla, October 28 – In an inspiring event hosted by Aspire Academy in Shimla, Pragvansh Mehta, a Class 9 student from St. Edward’s School, clinched the top spot in the “Brain of Himachal” exam held across 12 districts in Himachal Pradesh.

For his achievement, Pragvansh was awarded a ₹1 lakh cash prize and a trophy. The second-place honor went to Akshaj Sharma, a Class 11 student at Blue Star Sr. Secondary School, Hamirpur, who received ₹51,000 and a trophy.

Sharing the third place were Aadhvik Mokta of St. Edward’s School, Shimla, Class 10, and Aarav Jhangta of DAV New Shimla, Class 9, both of whom were awarded ₹21,000 and a trophy each.

Held on Sunday at Aspire Academy, the awards ceremony acknowledged the efforts of 15,636 students from 636 schools who participated at 142 centers across the state. The chief guest, Shivam Pratap Singh, Director of HP Power Corporation, motivated students to persist in their academic goals and explored future career paths with them.

District toppers, including Priyamvada Malik from Goenka School, Dharamshala, Kangra, were also recognized with telescopes and trophies. Other district winners included Pragvansh Mehta from Shimla, Ayushman Angiras from Solan, Arushi Kaplesh from Una, Agastya Chauhan from Kullu, Aadhya Sirkeck from Kinnaur, Anshuman from Mandi, Bhuvan Chauhan from Sirmaur, Aditya Sankhyan from Bilaspur, Akshaj Sharma from Hamirpur, and Tenzin Mentock from Lahaul-Spiti.

Aspire Academy’s Managing Director, Yogendra Kumar Meena, congratulated the achievers and emphasized the academy’s commitment to bringing hidden talent from remote regions of Himachal to the forefront. He highlighted how such exams help students prepare for future national-level competitions.

Aspire Academy also awarded the top 50 students in each grade and will visit schools to honor students who achieved the highest scores within their schools. Each participant will receive a certificate as a token of recognition for their dedication and hard work.
