CBSE results 2024: 87.98% students clear Class 12 board exams, girls outshine boys by 6.40%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday (May 13, 2024) declared the results for CBSE 12 board examinations. A total of 87.98 per cent of students have cleared the CBSE Class 12 board examinations, which is an increase of 0.65 compared to the pass percentage of 87.33 in 2023.

Candidates awaiting the CBSE board results 2024 can check their results on the official websites of the CBSE: cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. The results will also be available on digilocker.gov.in. To access the CBSE board exam results, candidates will need their roll number, school number and admit card ID.

A total of 16,33,730 candidates had registered for the CBSE 12 board examinations this year. Of them, 16,21,224 appeared in the examinations and 14,26,420 cleared the CBSE 12 board exam. In 2023, a total of 16,80,256 students had registered, 16,60,511 appeared in the examination and 14,50,174 of them were declared pass.

Girls have outshone boys again by 6.40 per cent as the pass percentage for girls stood at 91.52 compared to 85.12 for boys. A total of 24,068 students scored above 95 per cent marks and 1,16,145 above 90 per cent. As many as 1,22,170 students (7.54 per cent) have been placed in compartment, the count being slightly lower than 1,25,705 (7.57 per cent) in 2023.

This year, CBSE Class 12 examinations were held between February 15 and April 2 and for Class 10 from February 15 to March 13. Around 39 lakh candidates took the board exams for 2024 for both classes.
