Yashovardhan Atri, a student of Him Academy, Hamirpur, has once again proven his mettle by clinching the gold medal in Yogasana at the School State Games held in Sundernagar. Competing in the Under-19 category, Atri emerged as the state champion and will now represent Himachal Pradesh at the upcoming SJFI National Games in Kolkata.
This victory marks a historic milestone in Atri’s sporting journey. In the 2025–2026 season alone, he has secured five gold medals across various competitions—three in Under-18 and Under-19 categories, and two more in state and national-level Yogasana events. His achievements include:
- Three gold medals in Under-18 and Under-19 Yogasana competitions, including the School State Games.
- Three golds in separate events organized by Himachal Pradesh Yogasana Sports Association and Bharat Yogasana Under-18.
- One gold in the Under-18 category by the Yoga Federation of India.
- Bronze medal at the 49th Sub-Junior National Championship (Under-16) organized by the Yoga Federation of India.
- Bronze medal representing India at the 10th Asian Yogasana Sports Championship held in Singapore.
Earlier in October, Atri also impressed at the 6th National Yogasana Championship held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, where he ranked among the top four performers in the Under-18 category, competing against participants from 28 states.
With six years of dedicated practice in Yogasana, Yashovardhan Atri continues to raise the bar for excellence in yoga sports, bringing pride to Himachal Pradesh and India.
