DySP Vijay Kumar of the Himachal Pradesh Police has once again brought laurels to the state and the police department by winning an individual medal at the prestigious All India Police Duty Meet Shooting Competition (AIPDM) 2025–2026.

The championship, being held at the Group Centre of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Gurugram from March 22 to March 30, 2026, has drawn top shooters from police forces across the country. Competing in the Pistol/Revolver event – 50 yards prone (SNAP), unsupported on elbow with double-hand grip, DySP Vijay Kumar showcased exceptional precision and consistency to secure the medal against elite national competitors.

This achievement follows his recent success last month at the All India Police Shooting (Sports) Competition in Indore, where he clinched two individual bronze medals, further strengthening his record of excellence in national police shooting contests.

A renowned international pistol shooter, DySP Vijay Kumar has represented India with distinction at the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Olympic Games, where he won an Olympic medal in pistol shooting. His continued success not only inspires young sportspersons but also brings immense pride to the Himachal Pradesh Police and the nation.
