Dharamshala Student Shines in Badminton Championship, Brings Glory to Kangra District

— Principal Meenakshi Gautam of Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala, proudly announced that student Priya has achieved remarkable success in the Under-14 Girls’ Badminton Tournament organised by the Himachal Pradesh Sports Association. The district-level competition was held from October 11 to 13 at Government Senior Secondary School, Bharmaad Jawali.

Priya secured first place at the district level, earning her selection for the state-level tournament held at Government School Jubbal, Shimla. At the state level, she delivered an outstanding performance and clinched the runner-up position, representing Kangra district with distinction.

Principal Gautam expressed immense pride in Priya’s achievements, stating that her dedication and sportsmanship have brought honor to the school and the region. She also extended heartfelt thanks to Physical Education teachers Mr. Rajat and Mr. Kapil for their guidance and support in shaping young athletes.

In recognition of Priya’s accomplishment, she was felicitated during the school’s morning assembly, where Principal Gautam encouraged other students to draw inspiration from her journey. She emphasized the importance of discipline, perseverance, and mentorship in achieving excellence in both academics and sports.

This achievement not only highlights the growing talent in school-level sports but also reflects the success of grassroots initiatives in promoting physical education and competitive spirit among young girls in Himachal Pradesh.
