Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh and his mother and Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh took a holy dip on the sacred banks of the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh on Monday (February 3, 2025).
In a post on Facebook, Vikramaditya wrote they prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of all 70 lakh families in Himachal Pradesh.
Sharing his deeply spiritual experience, Vikramaditya Singh said, “Participating in Maha Kumbh 2025 was an unforgettable experience. For the first time in my life, I witnessed such a massive gathering of people, all united by a common spiritual purpose— to complete their divine journey and seek the blessings of the Almighty. Taking a dip in the holy Ganga at sunrise filled me with new energy and inner peace.”
Pratibha Singh reflected on the sanctity of the moment, stating, “The Maha Kumbh is not just a religious event, it’s a celebration of our ancient heritage and faith. Bathing in the sacred waters of the Sangam strengthens our connection to our spiritual roots. I prayed for harmony, health, and prosperity for every family in Himachal Pradesh.”
Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri too at Sangam
Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri too was at the Maha Kumbh to participate in the holy ritual.
Accompanied by his daughter, Aastha Agnihotri, the Deputy CM took a dip at the Triveni Sangam, describing the experience as deeply soul-stirring.
On his official X handle, Agnihotri wrote, “On the divine occasion of the world’s largest spiritual congregation, Maha Kumbh, I was blessed to take a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. May the grace of Mokshadayini Maa Ganga, Jagatjanani Maa Yamuna, and Vidyadayini Maa Saraswati always be upon us.”
After the ritual, Agnihotri visited various religious sites in Prayagraj and Varanasi, interacting with local devotees and gaining insight into the spiritual practices of the region. “The Sangam is not just a geographical confluence but a spiritual center of faith, devotion, and positive energy. Visiting such sacred sites brings immense peace and reminds us of our cultural roots,” he said.
