On the occasion of Himachal Pradesh’s 55th Statehood Day, a grand event was organized at the residence of former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, in New Delhi. The “Himachal Rajyatva Diwas” program saw the enthusiastic participation of over 1,000 Himachali expatriates, celebrating the state’s remarkable journey.

The event was graced by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda as the chief guest. Among the distinguished attendees were Delhi BJP State President Virendra Sachdeva, Members of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj, Suresh Kashyap, and Indu Goswami, alongside several notable leaders, including former MPs, MLAs, and senior BJP figures from Himachal Pradesh. Women’s Wing State President Vandana Yogi also marked her presence, adding to the celebratory spirit.

JP Nadda’s Address

While addressing the gathering, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda congratulated Himachali expatriates on the occasion of Statehood Day and said, “Himachal Pradesh has always been known for its honest, law-abiding, and justice-loving citizens. The state has made significant contributions to India’s development journey, which is a matter of pride for all of us.”

He further criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi, stating, “Arvind Kejriwal’s government has pushed Delhi into chaos over the past 10 years. Leaders of AAP are entangled in corruption, and several are behind bars. Kejriwal himself is out on bail, while making false promises to deceive the public. Delhi deserves better governance, and I urge everyone to vote decisively for the BJP on February 5 to ensure a brighter future for the city.”

Anurag Thakur’s address

Anurag Singh Thakur emphasized the hard work and determination of Himachal Pradesh’s people, which has earned them global recognition. He stated, “Statehood Day is an opportunity to strengthen our unity, honor our culture and traditions, and pledge to take Himachal to greater heights.”

Highlighting Delhi’s governance issues, Thakur remarked, “The Kejriwal government has failed miserably. Whether it’s pollution, water, or waste management, Delhi has only deteriorated. The people are disillusioned and ready to remove AAP from power. This time, the BJP will form a government with a two-thirds majority.”

The event celebrated Himachal Pradesh’s cultural heritage and offered a platform for Himachali expatriates to connect with their roots.
