A young man lost his life while a woman sustained serious injuries in a road accident that occurred on Friday morning in the Sangla Valley of Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district.
The accident took place near Palingche on a link road under Kamru Panchayat. As per official sources, a TATA Nexon (HP 06A–0732) reportedly skidded off the road and plunged nearly 100 metres downhill. The vehicle was extensively damaged in the crash.
The deceased has been identified as Charan Singh Negi, son of Inder Lal, a resident of Sangla village. He was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident and died on the spot.
A woman traveling with him was seriously injured and was immediately shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Sangla for primary medical attention.
Local police and residents reached the site shortly after the incident. The body has been taken to CHC Sangla for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
