The Government Senior Secondary School at Kuthed in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh observed World AIDS Day under the leadership of Principal Ujjwal Dhiman on Monday.
The event featured a variety of activities, including a rally, poster-making, slogan-writing and other awareness campaigns.
Addressing the volunteers, Principal Ujjwal Dhiman emphasised the need for global efforts to combat the HIV pandemic. He said, “Like millions of people worldwide, our goal is to end the HIV epidemic. Achieving this requires collective global commitment and we are dedicated to doing our part.”
A total of 98 volunteers participated in the rally, which was organised under the guidance of NSS in-charge Dinesh Kumar and assistant in-charge Sapna Rani. Teachers Dharmendra, Upendra, Manish, Monika, Suman Bala and Anita Sharma were also present, contributing to the event’s success.
The day served as a reminder of the importance of awareness and collaboration in eradicating HIV/AIDS, inspiring students and staff alike to work towards a healthier future.
