BJP to plan poll events of Amit Shah, Yogi, Rajnath too

The election atmosphere in Himachal Pradesh is set to intensify this week. In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Nahan and Mandi on May 24, the Congress is planning to organise a rally of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on May 25 or 26.
Senior leaders from both the BJP and the Congress will begin their election tours to Himachal Pradesh, which votes in the last phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections on June 1. The top leaders will visit the state and address two to three public meetings per day.
The BJP plans to invite Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, as well as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. From the Congress side, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh and Haryana Bhupesh Baghel and Bhupinder Singh Hooda are expected to visit the state.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and CPM central politburo member Sitaram Yechury are also likely to campaign in the state on behalf of the INDIA bloc in support of Congress candidates. The fifth phase of the elections concluded in the country on Monday. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will visit Himachal once the elections in Raebareli and Amethi are completed.
Priyanka Gandhi’s house is in Chharabra, near the capital Shimla. During the Assembly elections, she stayed here and led the campaign. The sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections is scheduled for May 25. Consequently, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi will be touring other states until May 23-24 and will move to Himachal once the sixth phase of voting is over.
