BJP Himachal Pradesh spokesperson Sanjay Sharma launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Sukhu government, accusing it of gross negligence and inefficiency in utilizing central funds allocated for public welfare.

Sharma alleged that despite the Centre’s generous support, the state government has failed to spend the money effectively. “In FY 2024–25, the Centre sanctioned ₹954 crore for various health schemes, yet the Sukhu government couldn’t even utilize half of it. Now, over ₹1050 crore has been approved for 2025–26, but given the current track record, this budget too may go unspent,” he said.

Centre Offers, State Squanders
Highlighting recent developments, Sharma pointed to Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda’s visit to the state, during which ₹123 crore was granted under the Maternal and Child Health Scheme. “Nadda urged the Chief Minister to use the funds for the people’s benefit. But sadly, the Congress government seems more focused on criticizing the Centre and the BJP than on development,” Sharma remarked.

Neglecting Public Health, Ignoring Responsibility
Calling the state’s health infrastructure “dilapidated,” Sharma said the government’s failure to act even after direct appeals from the Union Health Minister reflects a deeper administrative malaise. “This incompetence isn’t limited to health—it’s visible across departments,” he added.

BJP’s Message: Stop the Blame Game, Start Working
Sharma warned that the public is losing patience with what he termed “a politics of complaints and abuse.” He urged the Sukhu government to change course and responsibly utilize central funds, or face consequences in the court of public opinion.
