SPSS Workshop Empowers Agricultural Researchers at CSKHPKV, Palampur

Palampur— A three-day workshop on “SPSS for Agricultural Research”, held from August 28–30 at the College of Basic Sciences, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), concluded successfully under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP).

In his message, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naveen Kumar emphasized the University’s commitment to strengthening research capacity through advanced statistical tools. He lauded the department for acquiring the latest licensed SPSS software, valued at ₹5 lakhs, now available for student and faculty use.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Rajan Katoch, Dean of the College, who encouraged participants to embrace data-driven approaches in agricultural research. The event featured expert resource persons from Neri, SKUAST-Jammu, and Kurukshetra University, offering a blend of theoretical insights and practical training.

Hands-On Learning for Future-Ready Research

Workshop coordinators Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Banti Kumar, and Dr. Abhishek Guleria expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and participants, noting that the programme effectively sharpened analytical skills and fostered collaborative learning.

The initiative marks a significant step toward integrating modern statistical methodologies into agricultural studies, equipping researchers to tackle emerging challenges with precision and insight.
